Spatchcock chicken: lines composed to thee
I first felt affinity for roasted meats
at a tender age , near 7
I thought them a treat.
three quarters year more before i ought to i coveted their company -
Adored them as the infant that covets the succulent teat.

I suckled on them
Sought succour and then
I say perhaps because the long serrated fronds of time dance merry havoc round the clock of my minds rememberance of things that have past in time -
and quite lose the order of what shaped this clime.

Besides which i digress and make the story to less
My point is roast meat i desired to caress.
I flagellated my self upon and around the rich wealth
Of gravy infused tender loin
Carved just so, in gravy sown
Supple edible meats closing to my mouth known

The Times.
Such times

Roast potatoes-
Caused me to wank
In duck sourced fat crispy bits i fingered
The buttery flank
Of the cubes of tater: and
Goblets of stuffing i left for later.

Asparagus - sweetcorn
I comested it all;
Dirty roast meat eaten porn
Was adorned around and about
The sunday roast meats remnants yawned around my gob, each
Tooth Chewing mushing such rare sunday treats.

Join me now in this time of plenty
The meaty times, gobbled up - plate rendered empty.

Sunday dinner
Designed to please:
Spatcock chicken
Dispatched up my bottom, with relative ease.

Beautiful. Reminded me a little of Siegfried Sassoon's 'Requiem for a roast up the front' and of course Irvin Berlin's classic musical 'Every time it rains it rains Spatchcock chicken'.

One is given to wonder why Alfie doesn't get the same sort of "feedback" as Huggie Monteith.

A fitting testimony to chemistry's creative power.
